Load & go

GPS files for your bike computer

Three ready-to-ride .gpx tracks for the signature island routes — download, drop on your device, and follow the line.

How to load them: drop the .gpx into Garmin/NewFiles over USB (or import in Garmin Connect / the Wahoo app), then start it as a Course/Route. For snapped turn-by-turn directions, drag the file into RideWithGPS or Garmin Connect and choose “match to roads.”
No bike? No problem

Rent a bike

Several local outfits deliver right to the cottage — e-bikes are the easy call for the two long traverses.

Community-mapped loops with real GPS tracks. Open the link, then Export to FIT/TCX/GPX (RideWithGPS has all three; a free account is needed to download).

Before you roll: there are no hills here — the effort is distance, wind and sun. Carry extra water, reapply sunscreen, and rinse the bike after any salt-air ride. The beach-sand ride only works near low tide. The two long routes and the Southport bridge are best early morning — and the bridge is confident-adult / e-bike only.
